Asterix's best friend Obelix has a wonderful and sweet companion dog, Dogmatix. Dogmatix is a sensitive little dog who cries when trees and plant life are harmed.
For this activity, we will be planting native seedlings in pots.
Using http://www.backyards4wildlife.com.au/, I have selected a native plant called carpobrotus rossii (karkalla). They are native to South Australia, grow happily in pots and don't need too much water.
Students can take their seedlings home and watch them grow in honour of Dogmatix.
